The owner of Oldham Athletic has arrived in the Caribbean after two months rowing solo across the Atlantic. That's despite earlier drifting off-course after falling asleep.
Frank Rothwell, 73, set off from the Canary Islands in a one-man rowing boat on December 12 as he set off across the world's second-biggest ocean for the second time. And tonight (Thursday), Frank arrived at the island of Antigua.
It brought the businessman's epic 3,000 mile voyage, which lasted 64 days, to an end and means he has bettered his own world record of being the oldest person to row the Atlantic solo, which he set in 2021.

He is correcting his course ready to arrive later on."
He arrived in Antigua at 5:35pm UK time, and 1:35pm local time. He has now been reunited with his wife of 53 years, Judith. He says he plans to have a 'slap-up' belated Valentine's Day meal with her tonight.
