‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Director Deborah Chow Talks Says Darth Vader “Isn’t Fully Formed Yet” In Her Series

Disney+ has moved the premiere date for its next Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Originally set for May 25, the streamer has pushed it back two days to May 27, the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, with a two-episode launch.

Hayden Christensen is gearing up for his return to the Star Wars universe!

It’s been 17 years since Hayden Christensen was last seen in a galaxy far, far away, and the Vancouver-born actor recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about returning to his “Star Wars” role of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the upcoming Disney+ series “Obi-Wan Kenobi”.

Australian actor Joel Edgerton will be seen reprising the role of “Star Wars” character Uncle Owen in Lucasfilm’s upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series starring Ewan McGregor as the iconic Jedi. Abrams.According to reports in The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and Deadline, Abrams and his Bad Robot Productions company are developing a scripted series for Netflix about the Bono-fronted band.There are reports that the script for the show is being written by Anthony McCarten, the scrip-writer behind Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody.As per The Hollywood Reporter, U2 are “expected to be involved and sanction the project.”NME has reached out to representatives of Abrams and Netflix for comment.Last November, U2 guitarist The Edge revealed that the band were working on a new album.The update came shortly after the four-piece released the track ‘Your Song Saved My Life’, their first new material in two years.Their most recent studio album, ‘Songs Of Experience’, came out back in 2017.

Samuel L. Jackson is just as eager to get back to the Star Wars franchise as fans are for him to make a return. During a recent live taping of the  podcast, the star revealed that he's lobbied for his Jedi Master character, Mace Windu, to make a return much like how other past franchise stars have made it back into the fold in recent years.«There's a huge history of people with one hand returning in ,'» Jackson joked, referring to both Anakin Skywalker severing his character's right hand before his eventual murder by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, as well as the multiple Skywalkers who have lost a hand. Jackson played Mace in the  prequel trilogy alongside stars Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker), Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Natalie Portman (Padmé Amidala). He reprised the role for the 2008 animated film and voiced the character in 2019's The character has also appeared in various  books, comics and video games, as well as the television series voiced by Terrence C.

As a result, production was delayed from August 2020 to January 2021, while a new writer was hired in Joby Harold to make adjustments.“We’re looking, ultimately, to make a hopeful, uplifting story,” said Kennedy.

"Star Wars" fans were in for a treat on Wednesday when Disney+ released its first official trailer for the new series, "Obi-Wan Kenobi".  The show consists of six episodes of live action, which is set to be released on May 25.This iconic date for the "Star Wars" franchise happens to be the 45th anniversary of the original movie, which was released back in 1977.  Ewan McGregor will reprise his role of the wise space wizard, with Hayden Christensen returning to inhabit the sinister life-support suit of Darth Vader. The full cast consists of Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.  The series was directed by Deborah Chow, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Ewan McGregor, and Joby Harold.

Darth Vader is back! Ok, fine, the fact that the “Star Wars” villain is going to make his triumphant return in a film or TV series isn’t all that shocking. After the original trilogy, he had a whole prequel trilogy devoted to his story.
