Northern rail has warned of 'significant disruption' on its services on Father's Day this Sunday.
Passengers have been urged to check before they travel on any Northern services across the North West and Cumbria and only travel 'if absolutely necessary' on June 16. Trains could be cancelled, delayed or altered at short notice, the operator said on its website.
The disruption is due to a 'short notice change to the timetable and also a member of train crew being unavailable'. Some services may also be replaced by road transport.
