No joke: Chance the Rapper is new host of ‘Punk’d’ reboot

Chance the Rapper is coming to play. The Grammy winner will host the 2020 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and he's counting the days until he can get doused in the green stuff.

Much like “The Blues Brothers” and their iconic declaration to be on “a mission from God,” Chance the Rapper believes that his collaborations with Kanye West are of a similar divine origin.

Kanye West's Sunday Service, a weekly Christian gathering and gospel concert, contained tributes to the Bryants with Kanye West, Chance The Rapper, and Kirk Franklin all performing.

Kanye West was a noted Kobe Bryant fan. The duo connected on multiple occasions, and Ye was even in the building for Kobe's last game ever back in 2016. With society in mourning following Bryant and his daughter's shocking deaths, West hosted a post-Grammys Sunday Service at midnight in Burbank Calif. early Monday (Jan. 27) to begin the healing process.

The noughties TV show is coming back

Chance the Rapper is set to host MTV’s rebooted celebrity prank show Punk’d. It’s coming to the mobile video platform Quibi, which launches in April 2020. In a press release, Chance said, “Punk’d is one of MTV’s most iconic franchises.” He added, “I grew up watching this show and it’s surreal to be in the driver’s seat this time around on Quibi.” Watch a teaser below.
