Phoenix have announced details of their new album ‘Alpha Zulu’ and shared a new track, ‘Tonight’, which features Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig.The French band made recently made their return with the album’s title track, which marked their first piece of new music since 2021 single ‘Identical’.‘Alpha Zulu’ arrives on November 4 via Loyaute/Glassnote Records and was produced by the band. The album was recorded in Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs, which sits in the Palais du Louvre.‘Tonight’ provides a new first for Phoenix, with Koenig’s appearance on the track marking the first time that a guest vocalist has featured on one of the band’s songs. “Could you come tonight? / I’ve got a feeling that you know the number,” Koenig sings, before swapping lines with Thomas Mars.The video was filmed in Tokyo and Paris, capturing Koenig and the band on opposite sides of the world in a split screen.

Modest Mouse have announced a North American tour celebrating two and a half decades since they released their breakthrough second album, 1997’s ‘The Lonesome Crowded West’.Kicking off in November, the band will tour as a four-piece on the road, with founding members Isaac Brock and Jeremiah Green joined by Russell Higbee and Simon O’Connor – who joined the band in 2012 and 2021 respectively.The 20-date tour will begin at the Wilma Theater in Missoula on November 18 and will continue along to Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, Dallas, Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston and more before wrapping up on December 17 at Terminal 5 in New York. Mötley Crüe’s concert in Indiana this week has been injured, after falling from the upper level of Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium.According to the Indianapolis Star, the concertgoer was attending Mötley Crüe’s headline show on Tuesday night (August 16) when, according to police, he “stumbled over the railing” around 30 minutes into their set at 10pm. The man, who police said was “intoxicated”, was then transported to the nearby Eskenazi Hospital in stable condition.On Wednesday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Samone Burris said the man was found “awake and breathing” when paramedics reached him, elaborating that “​​the adult male was extremely intoxicated and leaned over the railing, at which point he fell.”In a separate statement, Lucas Oil Stadium representative Monica Whitfield Brase noted that while the extent of the person’s injuries is unknown, he appeared to be communicating with paramedics when he left the venue to be treated.
