A huge new waterfront food and drink destination, with a host of food traders and restaurants, has revealed more details about its gastronomic line-up. It is part of Called Central Bay, the new Salford Quays hub spread over 25,000 sq ft, with space for 600 people.
The food hall element comes from the teams behind the award-winning food halls Cutlery Works in Sheffield and the GPO in Liverpool. Kargo MKT will consist of a food hall, a 2,000 sq ft outdoor terrace, five waterside shipping container kitchens, and a shipping container bar, all looking out onto the landmarks of Old Trafford and the Imperial War Museum.
As well as kitchens and bars, the development will also boast ‘indie markets’, pop-up events, live music performances and recreation space for kids.

Kargo MKT’s line-up includes some household Manchester operators, as well as up-and-coming food and drink talent in Salford and wider region. Food and drink on offer spans a wide range of cuisines from Italian sandwiches from Ad Maiora to Jerk Junction's Caribbean delicacies, as well as Neapolitan pizzas from Leopard Pie and massive burgers courtesy of What's Your Beef.
