The latest figures from the Scottish Government show there are estimated to be around 850,000 people with hearing loss in Scotland and of those, 70 per cent are over 70. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced that more than six million disabled people in the UK will receive their one-off £150 disability cost of living payment from next month. New research from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) suggests that around one in five adults were finding bills and credit commitments a heavy burden by the start of this year. Attendance Allowance is a benefit delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for people of State Pension age who need help with personal care or supervision because of an illness, disability or mental health condition.
