Singles-wise this week, Maisie Peters has been teasing her chaotic bop Cate's Brother (written about, yes, her actual friend Cate's actual brother) and after a viral pre-order campaign, it's finally arrived. A pop-rock slammer in the shade of Sk8r Boi, wait for its insanely chaotic final line. What a plot twist!
Tove Lo also has a new single out - now a fully independent artist, the sensational No One Dies From Love, brilliant title aside, is an assured slice of wonky synth-pop, seeing Tove fully giving in to her darkest excesses to make some of the strongest lyrical work of her career.
Lady Gaga's theme song for Top Gun: Maverick is also finally here - written by Gaga and BloodPop and co-produced by old A Star Is Born collaborator Ben Rice, the 80s-esque ballad sees a stirring vocal performance from Mother Monster. Could a second Best Original Oscar be on its way?
There's also a handful of other notable releases; including Doja Cat's new song Vegas for the upcoming Elvis biopic, Carly Rae Jepsen's acoustic-tinged re-birth Western Wind, AJ Tracey's Reasonable and Knucks' team-up with Stormzy, Die Hard.
As far as albums go, Norwegian pop-upstart Sigrid releases her second studio album How To Let Go, which includes previous singles Mirror and the incandescent Burning Bridges. It's a confident step up and a step out for Sigrid, who seems to have finally found her voice.
