A new 'picturesque' riverside gin bar is set open in a Greater Manchester village.
The owners of the mobile bar Bee-ginning Gin Co, husband and wife duo David and Angela Gandy, have announced they are opening a permanent bar in their ‘dream location’ in the village of Uppermill in Saddleworth.
Named the Piano Lounge, the bar will be located next to the River Tame just off High Street in a ‘picturesque riverside setting’ and will ‘bring something a little different to the village’, according to the couple.

David and Angela are subletting the premises from the The Tunnel End Pie Company and the Piano Lounge will open from 4pm on Fridays after the Tunnel End Pie Company finishes trading at 1pm.
This week David announced the Piano Lounge's opening date will be Saturday, March 23 and said that as well as offering premium gin, rum and cocktails in a ‘vibrant atmosphere’, the dog friendly bar will serve cheese and ham platters. The bar will also have live music including a piano player on site.
David and Angela started Bee-ginning Gin Co in 2018 after attending a gin festival in Manchester Cathedral and deciding they wanted to bring something similar to people’s homes.
Bee-ginning Gin Co found fame after featuring in four episodes of the Real Housewives of Cheshire and did several private events for the show’s stars before going on to attend events across the North West including music festivals.
