Netflix viewers 'cant' get over' the platform's latest mini-drama which tells the harrowing story of the world's worst industrial disaster. Fans have the four-parter 'eye opening' and 'gut wrenching'.
In December 1984, the central Indian city of Bhopal was devastated by a chemical accident at a pesticide plant. Some half a million people were exposed to the highly toxic gas methyl isocyanate.
Almost 600,000 people were thought to have been injured in the disaster and its aftermath, while figures estimate a total of 16,000 people died in total, from both the initial exposure and over the years from chemical-related diseases. The Railway Men - The Untold Story Of Bhopal 1984 tells the story of the railway men who risked their lives to help others after the accident.
