Poppy Delevingne Starring in Rohit Karn Batra’s Drama ‘The Gun on Second Street’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Brent Lang Executive Editor Poppy Delevingne will star in “The Gun on Second Street,” a new drama from writer, producer, and director Rohit Karn Batra.  The film is described as “an allegory of the gun crisis in the United States.” Its plot follows two Pittsburgh police partners and best friends who are called to an uneventful domestic violence dispute on Second Street. This quickly escalates to a violent confrontation as Officer TJ Meadows III accidentally shoots and kills his partner, Officer Kevin Cooper, with his backup gun. Years later, no longer a cop and still traumatized, he moves back to Pittsburgh and finds his way to his partner’s widow, Kacie (Delevingne). They slowly fall in love as Kacie confronts the history she’s been avoiding, including telling her 15-year-old son, Ralph, TJ’s back-story.

‘The Thanksgiving Play’ Broadway Review: Stuffing and Asides

Ain’t No Mo, Cost of Living, Leopoldstadt, Good Night, Oscar, and now, The Thanksgiving Play (★★★★★), a dark and devilish satire by Larissa FastHorse. While gratitude should be a reflection and practice we incorporate into our daily lives, it is a virtue most closely associated with the fourth Thursday of November. That’s when we gather with friends and family, stuff ourselves silly with turkey, watch football, and fall asleep on the couch — all in the name of a long-perpetuated myth.FastHorse is having none of it.

Woody Harrelson responds after Matthew McConaughey claims they could be brothers

True Detective co-star Matthew McConaughey could be half-brothers.While appearing on Kelly Ripa’s SiriusXM podcast Let’s Talk off Camera with Kelly Ripa last week, McConaughey revealed that his mother had told them both that she “knew” Harrelson’s father during a time when she was separated from her husband.McConaughey, who was teasing the pair’s new Apple TV+ series Brother From Another Mother, also said that their families often mistake them for one another in photos.Commenting on their possible relation for the first time, Harrelson discussed the rumour while appearing Tuesday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.“Well, I’ll just say there is some veracity to that thought because we talked to Ma’ Mac, Matthew’s legitimate mother, and she let us know one time… I mean, this is crazy. We were in Greece, we were watching the US team win the World Cup and I don’t know, I mentioned something about regrets,” Harrelson told Colbert. The Hunger Games star continued: “And I said, ‘You know, it’s odd that my father has no regrets.’ And I have known Ma’ Mac a long time, and she goes, ‘I knew… your father.’ And it was the ellipses I found a little troubling, or interesting.

Strong Jennifer Garner lifts weak thriller ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’

Apple TV+ thriller “The Last Thing He Told Me.” Premiering April 14, the miniseries (executive-produced by Garner and Reese Witherspoon) is based on a bestselling novel by Laura Dave (and is co-written by Dave and her husband, Oscar-winning “Spotlight” screenwriter Josh Singer). The storyline follows Hannah (Garner), an artist and a newlywed who, for just over a year, has had what appears to be a great relationship with a widower, Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, “Game of Thrones”) — even though his churlish teenage daughter, Bailey (Angourie Rice), hasn’t warmed up to her new stepmother. When Owen mysteriously vanishes after a fraud investigation at his tech startup — “It’s like what they did at Enron,” Hannah’s friend Jules (Aisha Tyler) helpfully contextualizes — Hannah’s life gets turned upside down. She’s blindsided, since Owen never seemed like the white-collar criminal type.
