The highly-anticipated Netflix adaptation of a popular book series is landing on Netflix this August.
A Good Girl's Guide To Murder is based on the trilogy of novels of the same name by Holly Jackson. Emma Myers, who portrays Wednesday Addams’ werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair in Netflix hit Wednesday, stars as strong-willed teenager Pip Fitz-Amobi.
The 17-year-old is determined to get to the bottom a murder-suicide which shook her fictional hometown of Little Kilton - based on Roald Dahl's real-life hometown of Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. Police believe that five years ago, student Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh, who then killed himself.
But Pip soon realises a murderer could still be on the loose - accidentally exposing herself as their next target as she gets closer to the truth. Author Holly teased 'heartbreak, tears and gasps' as well as 'laugh-out-loud moments' and 'pulse-pounding twists' in the adaptation.
The six-episode series, commissioned by the BBC, will first air on BBC Three and iPlayer in the UK and Ireland before joining Netflix on August 1. The show was adapted by Poppy Cogan and directed by Dolly Wells.
Joining Emma is Zain Iqbal as Sal’s brother Ravi Singh, Asha Banks as Cara Ward and Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren Gibson. Raiko Gohara, Jude Morgan-Collie and Anna Maxwell Martin round off the line-up.
