EXCLUSIVE: Crewmembers on Netflix’s Nailed It! have gone on strike in a bid to secure a contract with IATSE. Picketing is underway against Magical Elves, the show’s production company, at Quixote Studios in Pacoima, Ca.
“The IA is on strike,” said a source familiar with the walkout. “They haven’t signed a contract. The production has yet to negotiate with the IA. They’re picketing today.”
The baking competition reality show, starring Nicole Byer, has been filming its seventh season. Nailed It!, which premiered on Netflix on March 9, 2018, has received three consecutive Emmy nominations for Outstanding Competition Program and two PGA Awards.
Deadline reached out to Magical Elves for comment but has yet to receive a response. Netflix had no comment.

Róisín Murphy will make her dramatic acting debut in Netflix series Half Bad.Based on the book trilogy by Sally Green, Half Bad is an eight-part series which follows 16-year-old Nathan, the illegitimate son of the world’s most feared witch.The singer-songwriter will play powerful witch Mercury in the TV adaptation, which is written and executive produced by Joe Barton (Giri/Haji). The project is produced by The Imaginarium, the production company co-founded by Andy Serkis and Jonathan Cavendish.Leading the cast is Jay Lycurgo (Titans, I May Destroy You) as Nathan, Nadia Parkes (Domina) as Annalise and Emilien Vekemans (Transferts) as Gabriel.Other cast members include Isobel Jesper Jones, Paul Ready, David Gyasi, Karen Connell, Kerry Fox, Fehinti Balogun, Misha Butler and Liz White.Speaking about the show, Barton said: “It’s been a complete joy getting the chance to adapt and expand the world of Half Bad.

Mike Myers’ six-episode Netflix comedy series The Pentaverate is playing off the number 5 from the title in a big way for its release plans. Since joining Instagram a week ago, Myers had been teasing the first trailer with images prominently featuring the number. This morning, the account posted the teaser at 5:55 PM PT, announcing that The Pentaverate will debut 5/5.
