A murder investigation has switched to a new location following the discovery of body parts.
Stuart Everett, 67, is believed to have died at a house in Winton, Salford, at the end of March. A murder probe was triggered when parts of his body were found at Kersal Dale in the city on April 4. A search of a north Manchester park and woodland, Boggart Hole Clough, which started on May 16, led to the discovery of further body parts linked to the same inquiry. That scene was today closed down.
Now, as reported by the Manchester Evening News, Parr Fold Park in Walkden will be be locked down from until next Wednesday. Parts of Mr Everett's body have now been found in five different locations. Firstly a lower back, buttocks, and thigh were discovered at Kersal Dale in plain sight near a footpath, wrapped in cellophane.
Consequently body parts were found in Chesterfield Close, Winton; Blackleach Reservoir, Walkden, and Colliery Wood at Linnyshaw, and most recently Boggart Hole Clough, but police have not revealed the nature of them.
In a statement GMP said: "Since closing down the scene at Boggart Hole Clough, we have opened up another scene in Parr Fold Park in Worsley, Salford. Using CCTV trawls and speaking to members of the public, we have been able to build a fuller timeline of events that have led to the scene being opened."
Detective Superintendent Lewis Hughes of GMP’s Serious Crime Division and Senior Investigating Officer, said: “We have worked our way through a number of scenes, and this continues to be a big piece of work for us and the scale of this is unprecedented as we push forward with our investigation.
“Today, although we have closed our scene at Boggart Hole Clough, we will be opening another scene at Parr Fold Park
