The mum of a drama student who died after getting difficulties in a Manchester reservoir on a hot day has pleaded with people to not jump into potentially deadly freezing waters.

Mark Allen, 18, who dreamed of becoming a professional actor, tragically drowned after jumping into Debdale Reservoir Gorton in a bid to cool off in June 2018.

His devastated mum Leeanne Bartley, 43, has since become a staunch water safety
