A Morrison's shopper has warned anyone who purchases reduced yellow sticker items.
Writing on the Yellow sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls Facebook group, Abbie Kingdom highlighted a problem with buying certain yellow sticker foods.
Abbie noticed that buying some yellow sticker items can end up more expensive than if you buy them on a multi-buy deal.
As reported in Manchester Evening News, she wrote online: "Lots of offers but reduced by very little. I did not buy any. What gets me is the fish that says 3 for £10. If I had bought 3 reduced ones at £3:51 it would have cost me £10:53 so they have actually put the price up."
Cheryl Nicholls replied: "I noticed that in Morrisons before brought some reduced curries as they were yellow stickers, I should of looked more closely just picked them up when I got home they were reduced by 20p."
Jade King said: "this is exactly what my asda is like all the time."
Brenda Stokes said: "The yellow sticker stuff is getting a lot more expensive. I won't buy it unless it's a good reduction."
Pearl Saunders said: "I've always been annoyed with those sort of reductions on multi save items but philosophy is you get a reduction if you only want one!"
Joan Simpson commented: "Supermarkets know that folk are waiting on the bargains and not all can go out late or drive and they know more are dependant on yellow label bargains so they make you wait."
Barbara Dicko responded: "I don't buy if they've only been reduced less than a pound , hopefully someone shopping later will get a better bargain." Ellen T Danziola chimed in: "Thanks for spotting! ... nothing is cheap.... buy fresh unless it is a real real real yellow sticker."
