Singer Michelle Heaton was revealed as the next contestant to be joining the cast of Dancing on Ice this morning, 10 October, live on Lorraine but shared the adorable comments her daughter, 10, made when she heard the news. Speaking to the TV host Michelle revealed how excited her children were when they found out she'd be taking part as she said: "My kids are so buzzing." The singer endured a three year battle with drink but told Lorraine: "I feel so lucky and a massive thank you for your support.The colour has come back and everything is clear. I'm just really focussed on the time ahead." She added: "Faith came up to me when I found out and said, 'I'm so proud of you, mummy'.
And it's just so beautiful that she's proud of mummy for what I was and what I am now. It just shows strength." The singer concluded: "I really hope anybody watching can know, if I can do something like this, then you can. It is possible." Michelle, 43, also told the host she'd always wanted to take part in the Dancing on Ice saying: "I've always wanted to do it and had my name in the mix.
But I knew I would never have been able to complete anything because of the way my body was 18 months ago." She added: "I'm truly grateful I've got it this year and I'm a lot stronger. I'm not a skater. I've been on the ice a couple of times just to get my feet moving but tomorrow is the first day in my skates with everybody else." Michelle went on to share that she's had some advice from Liberty X bandmate Jessica Taylor – who previously appeared on Dancing on Ice.
