Pop Idol's Michelle McManus shares throwback snap wishing Rylan happy birthday

Michelle McManus has shared a blast from the past picture of her and Rylan as she wished the It Takes Two presenter a happy birthday.

The Pop Idol winner posted three snaps on Instagram mostly recently from Rylan's book signing in Glasgow, which Michelle hosted.

In the post to her 13.3K followers, she said: "Happy Birthday to this beautiful boy. Hope you have the most wonderful day celebrating my darling @rylan xxxx," complete with a series of celebratory emojis.

It's been confirmed Michelle will be performing at the Mighty Hoopla Music Pop Music Festival in London in 2023.

The event - which takes place at Brockwell Park in the English capital - will also see the likes of Five, Mel C, Liberty X and N-Trance take to the stage.

Rylan Clark recently revealed he suffered heart failure twice last year during the breakdown of his marriage to Dan Neal.

The 34-year-old has been open about the effect his marriage woes had on his mental health, even admitting that his body "completely shut down".

The X Factor star took time off work to focus on his health during the marital breakdown and has discussed how that affected his physical health.

He revealed that he ended up in an ambulance twice, explaining at an event recently: "Twice last year I ended up in the back of an ambulance because my heart failed.
