Paris and Prince Jackson, the children of late pop icon Michael Jackson who died in 2009 aged 50, led the stars on the red carpet at the 75th annual Tony Awards last night. The pair were there to support MJ: The Musical which honours their father and some of his world-famous songs and dance moves, and was up for ten awards, including Best Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Myles Frost who plays Michael.
Prince, 25, made a speech at the awards, after he and Paris, 24, introduced a performance from the musical during the Tonys broadcast. He said: "A lot of people seem to think our dad changed popular music forever — and who are we to disagree? "But what people may not know is he loved musicals, on film and on the stage. That's why we are so incredibly honoured to introduce the night's first nominee for best musical, MJ, which, using many of his iconic hits, looks at the complexities and brilliance of our father's process." Actress and musician, Paris, looked ethereal in a one-shouldered Greek-inspired gown in a nude hue, with gold detailing around the bodice that cinched in her waist.
Paris wore her short blonde hair in loose curls that were pulled back slightly from her face and she smiled next to her older brother as she showed off her many inkings on her arms. Prince looked equally dressed-up for the event, sporting a black suit with a black shirt and tie underneath.
