Michael Cera is reprising his role as Scott Pilgrim!
On Tuesday (August 16), Netflix debuted the first teaser trailer for the upcoming anime series, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, which premieres later this year.
The new series follows the 2010 live-action Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, which was based on the graphic novel series by Bryan Lee Malley.

The new animated series is voiced almost entirely by the cast from the movie.
Along with Michael, that includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona, Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells, Chris Evans as Lucas Lee, Jason Schwartzmen as Gideon Graves, Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, Brie Larson as Natalie V. “Envy” Adams, Aubrey Plaza as Julie Powers, Ellen Wong as Knives Chau, Alison Pill as Kim Pine, Johnny Simmons as Neil, Mark Webber as Stephen Stills, Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram, Mae Whitman as Roxie Richter, and Anna Kendrick as Stacey Pilgrim.
Here’s the synopsis for Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: “Scott Pilgrim meets the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers, but learns he must defeat her seven evil exes in order to date her. Then things get even more complicated.”
While the majority of the cast is returning for the new series, two actors will seemingly not be involved.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off debuts on Netflix on November 17.
