After a glorious June, the weather in July has been has pretty disappointing.
Much of the UK has had lots of rain, wind and clouds with it feeling more like autumn than summer. August is usually one of the sunniest months of the year, but this year the picture may be slightly different.
The Met Office has issued its verdict on how August weather looks set to shape up. Forecasters predict the weather may be 'generally unsettled' in the first half of the month.

Between August 1 and August 10, thundery and heavy showers are set to fall with temperatures 'remaining below average' for the time of year. In a post on the website, a Met Office spokesperson said: "August is likely to start generally unsettled, with showers and outbreaks of rain, these perhaps turning heavy and thundery at times.
"Changeable conditions are expected to continue through the week with a mixture of sunshine and showers, as well as spells of rain across the UK. The wettest conditions are likely to be across the west, while the southeast is likely to see the best of any drier interludes.
"A similar set up is possible through the following week, with northwestern parts of the UK seeing majority of unsettled conditions. There is a chance for winds to be strong at times, given the time of the year, especially in western areas.
"Temperatures are likely to remain below average, with chance of mild nights towards later."
The second half of August may be slightly better though, with warmer weather forecast towards the end of the month. "Likely to remain fairly changeable for the most part through mid to late August", the Met Office spokesperson said.
