Meghan Markle had a subtle way of letting her husband Prince Harry take the lead in New York City - and it's through her wardrobe, one body language expert has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex's wardrobe choice also had a special meaning for the royal, says Body language expert Darren Stanton, who stated that Meghan has been wearing white outfits recently when she wants to take a "step back" so she can give the spotlight to The Duke of Sussex.
He went on to say that Meghan has been noticeably doing this at a few appearances during the Invictus Games in Germany in September, writes The Express.
Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, he told OK!: "She was there alongside her husband, but very much wanting him to take control as she knows how much the games mean to him.
"She wanted to come across as supportive and calm - being there for him.
"When Meghan wears white it’s to take away the attention on her. She’s making a lowkey statement here, where she wants to say, ‘This isn’t about me.’"
Stanton also said that the duchess' choice of clothing may also hint at a "new chapter" in her life.
He explained: "White is the colour of purity. It’s to show a new chapter and go into something with a fresh mind.
"It’s to say, ‘I know what I’m doing, I know myself, and everything is clear to me.’ It denotes that Meghan is in a good place and wants to start over."
