Meghan Markle is set to hop back onto socials and relaunch her own Instagram page, which could reportedly make her up to a whopping £1 million per post. Meghan hasn’t had her own Instagram account since 2018, and stepped away from her joint Instagram account with Prince Harry in 2020 when they stepped back from their official royal duties.
In 2020, Meghan told People that she removed her own account for her "own self-preservation".
The royal said: "I had a personal account years ago, which I closed down, and then we had one through the institution and our office that was in the UK that wasn’t managed by us — that was a whole team.” Now it appears that the mum-of-two is ready to step back into the world of social media as her team has confirmed that she will be making a return with the handle @meghan, which already boasts 76,000 followers.
The account doesn’t include a picture of Meghan, but rather her favourite flowers - pink peonies.
The page also doesn’t include any official posts as of yet. A source has confirmed the Instagram account is Meghan's and that she will be making her return “very soon” and fans should keep an eye out for her first post.
They revealed to The Mail on Sunday: "Everyone in Hollywood is talking about the re-launch being imminent. Meghan has never made any secret of the fact she wants to return to Instagram." OK! has contacted Meghan Markle’s representatives for comment.
This is reportedly not the first time that Meghan’s return to Instagram has been planned, as she previously held the account to launch their podcast Archetypes, however “changed her mind” after the podcast was launched, according to Page Six.

After a quiet start to the year, the Duchess of Sussex has been busy planning the next phase of her career as she builds a wellness and lifestyle brand. UK, per The Daily Record.“With Meghan, on the other hand, we know that she’s been through hell and back,” she continued. “She doesn’t have the insulation of the institution and a large family.”Dunlop continued, explaining that if Markle’s new Instagram account is authentic to her true personality, it could be a great success.
It's fast approaching the one year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's death as Prince Harry is set to return to the UK on the eve of the date.
After a mysterious Instagram account emerged last week with the handle @meghan, royal expert Tessa Dunlop believes the Duchess of Sussex's exciting new career move - if successful - could see her supersede the Princess of Wales in the eyes of the public. Meghan's team confirmed last week that the former Suits actress is currently planning to "re-launch" on social media, warning spectators to "expect an announcement very soon".

More than five years after the couple tied the knot, Waight Keller revealed she stitched blue fabric from the dress Markle wore on their first date into her iconic wedding wear.“We basically sewed it into the hem of the wedding dress, so she was the only one that knew that it was there. It was a little blue gingham check,” Waight Keller told Vanity Fair in a new interview.
