Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be living the American dream after they left royal life behind. But their hopes of peace and quiet could soon be dashed by 'buses of tourists'.
A sightseeing jaunt is promising to take royal fans close to the Sussexes' Californian estate. Meghan and Harry were said to have relocated to Montecito from the UK to escape the glare of publicity after they quit royal duties in 2020.
But this new guided tour, which will set you back £958.84 for a group of six, will stop by many of the couple’s favourite hangouts in their adopted hometown, writes The Mirror.
The sightseeing trip is being advertised online as the Royal Celebrity Tour of Los Angeles and Montecito which just so happen to be run by a friend of Meghan’s estranged father Thomas Markle.
Photographer Karl Larsen claims Thomas approves of the new venture, which takes in a road close to the Sussexes’ £11m home as well as Meghan’s favourite shops and restaurants.
Customers will also get the chance to drive by homes of other celebs, such as singer Katy Perry and actress Cameron Diaz. And in LA, they will see Meghan’s old homes and school.
There are reportedly even plans to expand the trip to Rosarito, in Mexico, so royal enthusiasts can meet Thomas, who fell out with Meghan in 2018, days before her wedding to Prince Harry.
Karl, 54, who hosted a YouTube show with the Duchess’s dad said: “I’ve talked to Thomas about the tour and he said, ‘Oh my God, you might have a winner there.’ “I’ve also asked if we could go see him and he said, ‘Hold that thought.’ So hopefully one day… I’ve always thought I could turn what I know about Meghan and Harry into a tour. I’m sure it’s interesting to many people.”
