Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been invited to the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside the Royal Family during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, reports say.
This seems to be a step in the right direction to repair the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the family after the couple stepped down from the firm in 2020.
Since quitting their life as senior royals in early 2020, the couple spend most of their time in the California home with their two children, Archie, 2, and Lillibet, four months.
The rift between the royals escalated after Harry and Meghan's bombshell interview with Oprah, but olive branches seem to have been extended recently from both sides.
Harry and Meghan reportedly made a secret visit to the Queen and Prince Charles on their way to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, writes the Mirror.
And now, the Telegraph has reported that the pair have been invited to join the rest of the Royal Family for the traditional balcony appearance to watch an RAF fly past, on June 2.
Harry’s relationship with his family has been strained since the Sussex's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, when the Duke expressed his “disappointment” in his dad.
He claimed Charles had cut him off financially and refused to take his calls.
Meghan also made the revelation that Kate Middleton made her cry in the lead up to the royal wedding, not the other way round in the interview.
In the chat, Harry claimed that William and Charles were "trapped" within the system of the Royal Family after being asked by Oprah if his older brother wanted to leave the Firm.
The June 2 invitation will also include family events such as a service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral during the Jubilee.
