Saturday night staple Gladiators is back, with 16 new 'superhumans' preparing to show off their incredible speed and strength.
The programme, originally broadcast from 1992 to 2000, is set to return to the BBC on Saturday January 13. Presenter Bradley Walsh and his son Barney will host the 11-episode series, which will see the Gladiators take on contenders in new and old games, culminating with classic challenge The Eliminator.
Among those showing us what they're made of is Manchester's very own, multi-talented Emily Steel. Better known as Dynamite, Emily wasn't even born when the original show aired.

Now she's made history by becoming the reboot's the youngest Gladiator - which goes along nicely with the other sporting records she's smashed. Dynamite told the Manchester Evening News she's 'forever grateful and proud' to represent her city on such an iconic TV show.
She said: "Manchester is my home town, I’ve lived there most of my life. I went to school there, started my sporting career there, made some amazing memories there - as well as some not so amazing ones also.
She continued: "It really shaped who I am as a person. The community, the people, the place. I can’t ever imagine growing up anywhere else and I’m forever grateful and proud to be able to represent the city in this iconic show."
The sporting star is a former swimmer, competing at a national level until she was 15 years old. She went on to become a full-time elite CrossFit athlete and, standing at just 5ft 5ins, can lift 160kg - the equivalent of 6.5 bags of cement in one go.
