Caroline Brew editor Matthew Dysart has joined Los Angeles-based entertainment law firm Greenberg Glusker as a partner. Dysart comes to Greenberg Glusker after having served as head of legal affairs for Spotify and AwesomenessTV. “I’m thrilled that Matt has joined the firm,” Matt Galsor, head of the Greenberg Glusker’s entertainment practice, said.
“Matt is an extremely smart and effective lawyer, and I can’t wait to work with him.” An experienced entertainment attorney, Dysart has background working in TV, feature films, podcasts, digital media and technology. He has handled more than $2 billion in corporate development, M&A, film and TV slate finance and production deals, acting as outside general counsel and deal advisor to studios, production companies, creators and tech firms. “Over the years I have dealt with Greenberg Glusker and admired the smarts and tenacity of the firm’s attorneys,” Dysart said.
“I am excited to join the firm, where I can continue to add value to cutting-edge entertainment transactions.” Dysart is known for his skill in crafting complicated transactions for clients. His practice includes several leading podcast, digital media and film and television production companies and talent — many of which have expanded beyond their core businesses into consumer products, publishing and live event ventures. Prior to joining Greenberg Glusker, Dysart repped production companies and talent in entertainment dealmaking across film, TV, digital media and audio.
