Matt Bomer To Star In ‘Echoes’ Netflix Limited Series

Mónica Marie Zorrilla “Bridgerton” breakout Phoebe Dynevor is attached to star and executive produce “Exciting Times,” a book-to-screen adaptation and romance series in development at Amazon Studios. Based on Irish author Naoise Dolan’s debut novel, “Exciting Times” centers on Ava, an Irish transplant teaching English grammar abroad to wealthy children.

Shudder, AMC’s genre streamer, has ordered Behind The Monsters a docu-series exploring how Chucky, Michael Myers, Pinhead and more came to be icons of the horror genre. The series is written and directed by Gabrielle Binkley and Anthony Uro and hails from Stage 3 Productions.

“The OA” creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij have set a new limited series at FX, the network announced Friday.The project, which will star Marling in a “key role,” centers on an amateur sleuth as she attempts to solve a murder at a secluded retreat. Marling and Batmanglij will both direct.The series centers on “gen Z amateur sleuth” Darby Hart, who is “invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a Retreat at a remote and dazzling location,” per FX’s series description.

FX has greenlighted Retreat, a limited series from The OA creators Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. Marling will play a key role in the mystery series which follows Darby Hart, a Gen Z amateur sleuth, as she attempts to solve a murder at a secluded retreat. The network is expected to confirm the pickup during its portion of the summer TCA virtual press tour.

Ryan Murphy first told us about his idea for  on Deadline’s Crew Call in June and he FX has made it official today that the fourth installment of the series is currently in development.
