Britne Oldford To Star In Rachel Weisz Amazon Series ‘Dead Ringers’; Jeremy Shamos Also Cast

UPDATED with cause of death: Former child star Matthew Mindler, who went missing from his rural Millersville University campus in Pennsylvania earlier this week, has been confirmed dead.

Jordan Moreau Emily VanCamp is leaving Fox’s medical drama “The Resident” after starring on the show as nurse Nicolette ‘Nic’ Nevin for four seasons.There is hope that VanCamp returns to the series in some fashion, sources tell Variety.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterThe “Dead Ringers” series at Amazon has added both Jennifer Ehle and Emily Meade in recurring roles, Variety has learned.They join previously announced series lead Rachel Weisz as well as cast members Michael Chernus, Poppy Liu, Britne Oldford and Jeremy Shamos.The series was announced at the streaming service in August 2020 with a straight-to-series order. It is a modern update of the 1988 David Cronenberg film of the same name.

The college confirmed his death with an announcement to the student body … “It is with a grieving heart that I let you know of the death of 19-year-old Matthew Mindler from Hellertown, Pennsylvania, a first-year student at Millersville University. A search had been underway for Matthew since Thursday, after he was reported missing. Matthew was found deceased this morning, Saturday, August 28, in Manor Township near campus.”

Lucasfilm‘s “Solo: A Story Wars Story” was a costly venture for the studio, as they fired the original directors, Chris Miller and Phil Lord, leading to very expensive reshoots led by acclaimed director, Ron Howard. And as we all know, those reshoots were quite extensive, greatly changing quite a bit of the story along the way, apparently including the fate of at least one of the main characters.

Based on Irish author Naoise Dolan’s debut novel, “Exciting Times” centers on Ava, an Irish transplant teaching English grammar abroad to wealthy children.
