Lewis calculated that the tip could see customers save up to £492 off their own annual bill.
It comes as households across the nation have been gripped by the cost of living crisis, with rising prices on their energy bills and food.
During his Cost Of Living Special with co-host Susannah Reid, Lewis explained that Sky customers will want to keep their costs low wherever they can, reports The Express.
He explained that customers looking to make saving off their annual bill should call up Sky and be asked to put through to the cancellation department.
The expert says that the department would be keen to keep customers rather than potentially lose them to another company.
He added that many Britons could benefit from cancelling their Sky package, choosing a cheaper broadband-only deal and seeing if they can fulfil their TV needs elsewhere.
Newsreader Charlotte Hawkins said that many viewers were messaging the money-saving expert to thank him for the valuable tip on cutting back costs.
It's not the first time that Mr Lewis has been helping households keep costs low during the surging cost of living. He recently urged customers not to share false meter readings amidst the April 1 price hikes.
