Martin Lewis has warned the cost-of-living crisis will be "the worst" that Brits have faced in 22 years including covid and the financial crash.
TV's Money Saving Expert issues a direct plea to Chancellor Rishi Sunak ahead of the Spring Statement to help the poorest in society.

Lewis said that the 54% or £693 rise in energy bills on April 1, 2022 will be “catastrophic.”
He noted that Britain is also already more than a quarter of the way through assessing another rise on October 1 this year.
The expert said the rise looks set to be “at least another £600 a year,” which will add £1,300 to bills across this year in total.
He also told BBC's Sunday Morning that as many as 10 million people are currently in fuel poverty.
Lewis said: “I’ve been Money Saving Expert since 2000. I’ve been through the financial crash, I’ve been through Covid which was mitigated by some of the measures the Chancellor put in place. This is the worst - where we are right now, this is the worst.
“When I’m reading messages from people saying money prioritisation used to be ‘do I go to the hairdressers, or do I go to the pub and have a takeaway’.
