A few weeks ago much-loved high street brand Marks and Spencer caused controversy with a £39 Spring dress that shoppers branded "god awful", it seems there's now a new item of clothing in stores that people have questions about.Taking to its Facebook page, M&S posted a gorgeous picture of Holly Willoughby posing in a bright pink slogan jumper with the words "Mon Amour" printed on it.This was styled with a pair of dark blue wash jeans which have the style name of "mom jeans". However, some shoppers didn't gel with the title.The post was captioned with: "@hollywilloughby’s amour? Our classic mom jeans, with an effortlessly flattering fit that will never go out of style." Shoppers took to the comment section of the post to share their opinions, with one user writing: "So who are mom jeans designed to fit, mums?" To which another user replied: "Everyone, it’s the name of the style – nothing to do with ‘Mums’ at all." Another posted: "'Mom' jeans" with a rolling eye emoji which triggered another user to respond with: "Again. It’s a universally accepted term for a jeans style.
