Mark Wright admitted he broke down "in tears" after watching wife Michelle Keegan in new Netflix hit show Fool Me Once. The former Corrie actress takes up the leading role of Maya Burkett in the latest Harlan Coben series as it continues at the number one spot on the streaming service.
The former TOWIE star said he "had a lump in his throat and did cry" as he branded her performance in the show "absolutely impeccable" following its worldwide success reaching number one across 60 countries despite only being released on January 1.
Michelle, 36, stars alongside Joanna Lumley and Richard Armitage in the mystery thriller as leading character Maya works to uncover the mystery surrounding her husband's death and what hides behind the family company.
Speaking on his radio show, Mark Wright on Saturdays, Mark proudly gave his wife a shoutout reports OK! and said: "I can't tell you how many people have texted me about Fool Me Once... my wife's new Netflix show if you haven't seen it, I'm not being biased.
"It really is incredible. Everybody in the world seems to be watching my wife on Netflix at the moment. Absolutely incredible. But I get asked a lot, right? Is it weird watching your wife play a character on a show?"
He continued: "And by the way, before I met my wife, I would have been asking that same question. But I think it's probably because in a credit to her she's that good at what she does, that it doesn't feel weird at the time I completely snap out of the fact that that person on that screen playing Maya is Maya the person on the screen instead of my wife who is sat right next to me."
