The first trailer for Netflix's anticipated David Fincher drama Mank has dropped. While Fincher has kept busy in recent years with acclaimed TV projects like Mindhunter and House of Cards, Mank marks the first feature film from the visionary director since 2014's Gone Girl.

Moments ago, Netflix dropped a Teaser Trailer for Mank, one of their prime awards vehicles for 2020. An epic looking film, it certainly seems like it will stand out from the pack, especially when movies of this size and scope have almost entirely shifted into 2021 and even 2022, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s breathtaking, even by David Fincher standards,” said “The Social Network” screenwriter Aaron Sorkin yesterday on the just-released Happy Sad Confused podcast, about Fincher’s new movie “Mank.” And that’s a hell of an endorsement to lead the way for today’s trailer unveiling of “Mank,” a black and white prestige drama starring Gary Oldman about the writing and making of legendary filmmaker Orson Welles‘ “Citizen Kane” — often considered one of the greatest movies of all time.
