Videos have emerged appearing to show a fight breaking out next to a protest against a newly-formed pro-life society at the University of Manchester.
Footage which appears to show several men fighting while crowds of protesters holding signs boo and heckle them has been seen by the M.E.N. It is understood the fight was not related to the protest.
Hundreds of protesters flooded the Oxford Road campus on Thursday evening (February 29) to march outside the society's first meeting carrying placards and chanting. It comes after the society faced huge backlash from students, who blasted it as 'abhorrent'.

One witness described the fight as a 'scuffle' and added some of those involved appeared to be 'drunk'. They said those involved did not appear to be protesters.
Other videos show police escorting students who are believed to be members of the society out of a building while protesters chant 'shame on you'.
A petition to dissolve the society has reached over 18,000 signatures with signatories calling the organisation 'outrageous' and 'harmful'. One wrote: "I believe that the beliefs of this group are inherently dangerous as they wish to force their narrative and beliefs on women. For the safety of women on campus they should be banned."
They have also criticised the committee, which appears to be formed entirely of men. But the Students Union has responded saying it can’t block a society from forming because of their beliefs if they are lawful.
According to the Student's Union, the Pro-Life Society was officially affiliated as a society on January 11 this year in 'accordance with our society registration process.'
The Union say they consider two points
