Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez believes the prospect of being just another player at Manchester United could stop Harry Kane moving from Tottenham Hotspur.

Speaking about the situation on Premier League Productions, Benitez said: "You need to know where you need to go. If you go to a team that can’t win trophies, then it makes no sense.
"You have to make the right decision. You have to pick the right team – I had a situation with another player and he is now a club legend, which is Stevie G. I think it’s really important to be the top scorer in England. To be a player that has been in one team all his life or go to another club and take a risk.
"When I was trying to convince Stevie I said: ‘If you stay here, then you will always be Steven Gerrard.’ If you go to another top side, then maybe you will be one good player.
