Martinez substituted
Manchester United defender Raphael Varane said that Lisandro Martinez suffered a slight injury during the Reds' 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Reds were unconvincing for large spells against their West Midlands opponents but took the lead 15 minutes from time when Varane powered home a close-range header following Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross. United rode their luck further in stoppage time when Wolves were denied a clear penalty when Andre Onana clattered into substitute Sasa Kalajdzic.

Ultimately United got what they wanted on the night as they collected all three points but there was some mild confusion after Martinez was substituted at half-time. However, Varane told the BBC that an injury led to the 25-year-old being withdrawn. "A little problem on his ankle, tendon," the Frenchman explained. "We’ll see but I don’t think it’s a big deal. We’ll see how he is this week."
