Manchester United are reportedly keen on AS Monaco defender Axel Disasi.
That is according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, who claims that United manager Erik ten Hag has given a move for the centre-back the green light. Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest, with both clubs said to have approached the player's side - while neither have made contact with Monaco yet.
United could well be in the market for a centre-back this summer, after signing midfielder Mason Mount. Ten Hag is now looking to sign goalkeeper Andre Onana and striker Rasmus Hojlund, but an addition in the heart of defence is not out of the question. Disasi has represented France four times, having signed for Monaco from Reims in August 2020.

Elsewhere on the transfer front, Eredivisie side FC Twente are reportedly interested in Facundo Pellistri. The Uruguay international has not played much football for United, since signing from Penarol three years ago. He spent 18 months on loan in Spain, with Alvarez, before breaking into the first team picture at Old Trafford.
After struggling to get a look in, under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Pellistri made 10 appearances last season for Ten Hag. There are two years left on his contract in Manchester, though United do have a one-year option inserted and are said to be negotiating an extension with the wide man. It has been claimed, by VI, though, that Vitesse have also identified Pellistri as a target.
