Manchester United issued an apology to a Sevilla fan and gifted her with a signed shirt after she was unfairly removed from Old Trafford last month.
United welcomed Sevilla to Old Trafford in the first of the Europa League quarter-final on April 13 and the game ended in a 2-2 draw after two late goals from the visitors, which cancelled out a brace from Marcel Sabitzer in the first half.
Sevilla fan Adriana Parejo was removed from the stadium during the match after a flair went off in her vicinity. United subsequently reviewed the CCTV footage of the away section to find Adriana had not been involved with the flare, and to apologise they sent a signed shirt along with a certificate of authenticity signed by CEO Richard Arnold.

A tweet sent by Adriana's mother said: "They were wrong. The flare was thrown near her and she was expelled from the field for no reason. They found no image or evidence to justify what they did. United apologises and sends my daughter a signed shirt as an apology."
United visited Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium for the second leg and lost that game 3-0. That defeat meant Sevilla won the tie 5-2 on aggregate and they will now play Juventus in the semi-finals of the Europa League this week.
