Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey deserves to be attracting interest from top Premier League clubs.
The 22-year-old scored the opening goal in Georgia on Thursday night, as England Under-21s opened their European Championship campaign with a 2-0 win over Czech Republic. Ramsey broke the deadlock in the second half, before Arsenal's Emile Smith-Rowe secured the victory in injury time.
Man of the match on the night, Ramsey, was the one to catch Scholes' eye. The performance, on the international stage, followed another strong season for his club. Last season, Ramsey went from strength-to-strength under experienced coach Unai Emery - finishing the season with 13 goal contributions from 35 league outings.

Ramsey will be playing Europa Conference League football with Villa next season - should the club keep hold of the academy graduate. And in the eyes of Scholes, the dynamic and athletic midfielder is the exact type of player the biggest clubs in England should be looking to snap up.
After the match, Scholes took to Instagram to praise Ramsey on the back of his performance. Reacting to the midfielder's display, he posted: "Surprised no big clubs are coming in for this lad!"
Midfield is a position being targeted by United this summer. Personal terms have been agreed with Mason Mount, as United look to agree a fee with Chelsea and secure the signing of the England international. As well as Mount, United have been linked with the likes of Adrien Rabiot, Sofyan Amrabat and Manu Kone.
