Speaking of the infamous loss, Ben said the team’s bad performance was down to a lack of quality from former players he described as ‘donkeys’.
Ben told the MEN that on the day of the match, he only had two defenders and no goalkeepers, which resulted in him going in goal.
The team then went behind only ten seconds in, before one of the defenders got injured and had to go in goal to prevent them from playing with 10 men.
Speaking to the MEN, Ben said: “I founded the club, with the hopes of working our way up to semi-pro football.
“But we just couldn’t get the players, we got players who’d never played 11-a-side before or who hadn’t played for years, and we just struggled.
“Eventually it culminated in a match where we had one defender and no goalkeeper.
“The other team were really up for it and they were just faster and stronger and we lost 26-0.
“I put out an appeal on Twitter asking for new players because we were down to the bare bones at that point, some of those players couldn’t play, it just wouldn’t work, they were just donkeys.”
