Mark Wright breaks silence on claims he's 'banned' from ITV after 'quitting' show

Mark Wright has spoken out against "nonsense" reports he "infuriated" bossed at ITV by "quitting a new show in a last-minute text". Last month, it was claimed that the network was left completely taken aback when the former TOWIE star decided to depart the new series The Games out of the blue via a short text.
However, taking to his Instagram Story on Friday afternoon, the 35 year old blasted the allegations, stating that he had "never signed a contract" for the show and realised he had "too many commitments" to make the show work. "Refrained from commenting on this nonsense story for over a week because it's nonsense, and there's plenty of much more important stories to worry about in the world," he began.
The television presenter continued: "Because it is constantly being repeated, here's my comment "I'm absolutely not banned from ITV, in fact, I'm doing a show for ITV in 3 months from now. "The show that I had 'quit' I hadn't even signed a contract for!!! I 'called' the producer (not 'text') to tell her I had a change of heart on the show because I realised I had too many commitments in place to already make it work," Mark added.
Initial reports claimed that Mark ditched the series via a short text that simply said he was "too busy" to take part. A source told The Sun: "ITV were gobsmacked when Mark pulled out after the first day of filming.
"He was in great spirits on the day in Manchester, but the following morning he appeared to have had a change of heart." The insider went on to claim that Mark had infuriated bosses by choosing to send a text rather than explain the situation over a phone call.
