Hello Oriental, the bakery, food hall and supermarket, is knocking half off its whole menu tomorrow (September 28). To celebrate six months of business, it will be selling everything at half price from 8am until it closes at 10pm.
That means everything from the bakery on the first floor, down to the baos and Chinese roast meats in the basement, via the Vietnamese dishes on the middle mezzanine floor. It will also encompass the recent controversial addition to the menu - salt and pepper fries with soft serve ice cream.
Co-founder Ricky Yip said: “We’ve been open for more than six months now and we’ve been overwhelmed by the support and positivity from the people of Manchester. Hello Oriental Day is about celebrating that and saying a big thank you to our customers.” The offer runs the whole day and is for walk-ins only.

Despite the odour, the ice cream, which is sold only on the weekends, always sells out.
