Manchester United have still got £31million left to play with in terms of their profit and sustainability (PSR) position before the end of the current financial year on June 30.
The Red Devils are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window as they look to improve on a disappointing 2023/24 campaign. Erik ten Hag's side finished eighth - their lowest ever final Premier League position. In addition to that, United also finished with a negative goal difference (-1) for the first time in 34 years and had never lost as many Premier League matches (14) as they did last season.
Although United ended the season on a positive note after beating Manchester City to win the FA Cup, Ten Hag's future had been uncertain for several weeks. However, it was revealed on June 11 that Ratcliffe had decided to keep Ten Hag after conducting an end-of-season review.

Several players have since been linked with a move to Old Trafford. Among them is Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, who impressed for the Toffees in the Premier League last season. The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the most talented defenders in Europe and made his England debut earlier this month.
United might not do any business before June 30 but there is certainly some wiggle room should the Red Devils want to sign someone and help take weight off the books ahead of the next financial year.
