Nathan Ake will undergo scans on Thursday to determine the extent of his hamstring injury.
The Dutch defender has been a key part of the Manchester City team flying in three competitions under Pep Guardiola, starting 10 of the last 12 games and coming back into the team against Bayern Munich after being rested for the Premier League win over Leicester. Ake could not complete the full match at the Allianz Arena though, with a hamstring injury forcing him off in the second half.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Ake explained how it is the same injury that he has had previously and that this time it doesn't feel as serious. However, the centre-back and his manager will be left waiting for scans to reveal how quickly he can be back in action.

"I hope it's not too bad," he said. "I've had it before and it feels a bit less to be honest, but you never know with these things so we will do the ultrasounds tomorrow and then hopefully it's not too bad. It's very frustrating. This season I've been mostly injury-free. We'll see how it is but hopefully it isn't too bad."
Ake had done extremely well to be holding onto his clean sheet when he went off after being given a torrid time by Kingsley Coman as Bayern attacked City down the flanks. The relief at getting the result that takes the team through to the semi-final was obvious in Ake's face as he admitted how tough it had been in Munich.
"We're very happy. We knew it was going to be a tough game coming here and that they would give everything and ty to score as early as possible," he said. "We were a little bit under the cosh but we managed to go through. It was tough, one of the toughest games of the season for sure."
