City's manager has regularly dismissed the notion of three trophies in a season as unrealistic, insisting it is more important to focus on one match at a time. However, on the day of the Champions League quarter-final draw as his players prepared for their FA Cup quarter-final, Guardiola said that enough of the season has passed for it to be considered.

Even though it remains extremely unlikely - with Southampton difficult opponents in the FA Cup, Liverpool chasing hard in the league and Atletico a tricky tie in the Champions League - City have made it far enough to be able to start thinking of the finish lines.
“If United did it once, then it happened and someone else can do it,” said Guardiola. “When you break a record or something it is because someone has done it before.
“People said we could not win three domestic titles ever, it was impossible, and we did it. So when it happens, another team can do it. It would not be easy but you can do it, of course.
“In September, October, November, it is more difficult but when there are two months left and still you can be there to win the titles, yeah it’s possible. On the other hand, it’s happened once in a lifetime so that shows how difficult it is!”
