Man charged after county lines drug dealing raids in north Manchester and Liverpool

A man has appeared in court after police raids in north Manchester and Liverpool aimed at cracking down on county lines drug dealing and child exploitation. Merseyside Police executed warrants on three properties in Cheetham Hill, Toxteth and Kensington.
A man and woman were arrested during the Cheetham Hill raid, where officers also found bags containing mobile phones, chargers and cannabis wrapped in cling film. RSPCA officers were also called after four pit bulls, not deemed to be a banned breed, were found at the house.

Arron Quarty, 33, of Selborne Close, Toxteth and a 29-year-old woman, from Toxteth were both arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of criminal property. The woman was released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Quarty appeared at Liverpool magistrates court on Saturday April 16. He was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on May 17.
