A man was stabbed in what police have described as a 'targeted' attack on a street. Police patrols in the Breightmet area of Bolton have been stepped up as the man, who is aged in his 40s, remains in hospital.
Greater Manchester Police said he suffered 'non life-threatening injuries that are consistent with a bladed article being used'. Police were called to New Lane's junction with Padbury Way at 7pm on Sunday night.
GMP said the man managed to drive injured to nearby Dorchester Avenue, where paramedics were called. Police are now hunting two white men believed to be aged between 18 and 21.
