A man accused of murdering a dad in his own home, alongside two family members, has protested his innocence to a jury - telling them he doing a drug deal next door at the time. Ryan White, 29, is charged with the murder of Warren Burns.
Father-of-two Mr Burns, 37, died after being attacked at his home on Heysham Avenue in Withington, south Manchester in May. Prosecutors have told jurors he was kicked, stamped and punched to death.
Brandon White, 21; Ryan White, 29; and Damian White, 33, who are related, all deny murder. They are standing trial at Manchester Crown Court. Jurors have heard 'three men' knocked on at Mr Burns' home 'uninvited', before they 'went upstairs to find him'.

Mr Burns' partner was said to have been left 'terrified' and 'ran' from the house with their 10-week old son. Prosecutors claim a 'grudge of sorts' between Mr Burns and the White family may have 'rumbled away in the background for years'.
Giving evidence, Ryan White told jurors that on May 21 he was at Platt Fields Park, where he met a friend to buy cannabis to sell on. “I went to go and buy weed - I am a drug dealer,” he told jurors.
“I bought two ounces of the green stuff, for just under £300. I had that on me and other paraphernalia as well; scales, bags, tobacco, rizla, grinder and money.”
The defendant said he received a call from his cousin Damien, who asked where he was, who he was with, and if he could go to their grandmother’s house.
