Two men have been arrested after a 'brawl' led to a stabbing in Bury town centre. A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after emergency services rushed out to the scene at around 5am on Sunday morning (March 28).

A teenager who was stabbed to death in Bury suffered the fatal injury during a sudden two second confrontation between two groups of youths in the town centre, the M.E.N. can reveal.
The 19-year-old was stabbed in the chest with a knife moments after the two groups came together in broad daylight on Market Street on Friday afternoon. The clash lasted no more than two seconds and involved seven youths, detectives believe.
The victim, who has not been named, was taken to hospital but he died later. Three boys, all 16, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The M.EN. also understands detectives are investigating whether the fatal stabbing is linked to at least four knife-point robberies which took place in Bury in the 48 hours before. They suspect criminals from outside Bury are coming into the area.
Senior officers in the town were so concerned about the sudden spike in knife crime that they invoked so-called 'section 60' powers, allowing cops to stop and search people without suspicion for a limited time and in a specified area. The stop and search and operation had begun before the 3.50pm fatal stabbing on Market Street.
The victim was stabbed outside the entrance to Mill Gate shopping complex. The owner of nearby Sky Bar, Michael Wood, has described how he tried to save the stricken youth.
Michael, 52, told the Manchester Evening News: "Two black youths came running along the pavement screaming. They got to the door and one of them said 'I've been stabbed'.
